Director of Training and Volunteer Services

The SCORE Association is seeking a Director of Training and Volunteer Services to support the Field Operations team of SCORE in our efforts to deliver high-quality SCORE services through engaged volunteer mentors.

The Director of Training and Volunteer Services will provide support in the following areas: Project manager for major leadership meetings, volunteer attraction and retention and in supporting SCORE’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. The ideal candidate possesses strong writing, communication, and organizational skills as well as good interpersonal skills. S/he should also be highly organized and passionate about increasing volunteer recruitment and engagement for SCORE. The ideal candidate also has experience with managing teams and working with volunteers.

We’re looking for a self-starter, proactive problem solver and detail-oriented team player. S/he should be committed to providing superior service, poised under fast-paced pressure and have a relentlessly positive, flexible, 'whatever it takes' attitude. 

Responsibilities

  • Act as lead project manager on the SCORE National Leadership conference and regional meetings
  • Develop metrics and tracking for the Volunteer lifecycle
  • Coordinate the development of a national service platform or ‘national chapter’ for volunteers
  • Coordinate the development of a Standard Process ‘Playbook’ for daily operations
  • Develop, train, and lead initiatives and field execution to grow volunteer attraction and retention
  • Diversity and inclusion program support
  • Supervise engagement and internal communications processes
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and reducing execution complexity
  • Collaborate with Operations team and other staff on priority field projects

Required Skills

  • Experience in managing volunteer teams

Engagement Specialist

The SCORE Association is seeking an Engagement Specialist to support the Field Operations team of SCORE in our efforts to deliver high-quality SCORE services through engaged volunteer mentors.

The Engagement Specialist is responsible for ensuring reports, analysis and dashboards are shared with SCORE management and field. The Engagement Specialist is proactive leveraging SCORE’s systems and platforms, to monitor relevant KPI information in support of strategic aims.

The Engagement Specialist will provide support in the following areas: execution of large organizational surveys on volunteer and client engagement, analysis and reporting on volunteer/client service data, internal communications and external reporting of data for SCORE partners. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and data skills as well as good communication skills. S/he should also be highly organized and passionate about leveraging data to improve SCORE client services and volunteer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual SCORE surveys of volunteers and clients, coordinating the design and execution with the research vendor.
  • Ongoing reporting and analysis of new volunteer onboarding and volunteer exit surveys
  • Reports and analysis on volunteer funnel and lifecycle
  • Operational data analysis
  • Coordinate internal communications
  • Contribute on data and reports for partners and stakeholders
  • Develop a red flag warning system, based on survey data, to reduce volunteer turnover
  • Assist in development and execution of programs to improve client feedback and service quality
  • Support of field and HQ metrics
  • Creation and maintaining of field metrics and dashboard
  • Creation of ad hoc reports or analysis as needed to support leadership decisions
  • Some travel to field meetings will be required

Required Skills

  • Experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with Salesforce beneficial
  • Ability to learn and work with legacy systems that track client / mentor services and feedback
  • Strong project management skills
